EX / VG++

Excellent

The cover may have some very discreet scratches and/or small creases.

The record shows signs of having been played (noticeable light marks), but the loss of sound quality is virtually inaudible.

VG+

Very good +

The cover shows obvious signs of handling: slightly bent end, price tag, creases. But no major defects. It may also be in perfect condition but has a punch or beveled end.

This is the most common condition for second-hand records. The records have some scratches that do not affect the sound quality. Some crackling may be audible on very sensitive turntables.

VG / VG-

Very good

The sleeve is worn with creases, marks, peeling, edge wear, discoloration, and the beginning of a circular record mark on the sleeve.

Signs of age are present. The record has scratches that affect the sound quality with crackling and skipping.

G

Poor

The sleeve condition is close to VG- with additional writing, paper curled due to humidity, and tears on the edges.

The sound quality deteriorates due to repeated playback; there is hiss and there may be skips and crackles. The grooves on the record are almost indistinguishable.

B

Bad

The cover is very damaged with tears, marks and signs of wear everywhere.

The disc is no longer playable properly due to too many scratches and defects on the surface.
